Spring has officially sprung! Although in San Diego we don’t experience drastic changes in seasons, flowers start to bloom and trees start to fill up with leaves again.

With Spring just around the corner, the winter withdrawals have begun, and when I say winter, I mean the Californian winter. I already had too much New York Winter during NYFW, and it almost killed me (damn flu!). (more…)

tastefully twisted hair bun

First #HOTD was, as the TRESemmé team would say, a tastefully twisted bun. The day was very windy (and cold!) and I had a lot of layers on, so I wanted my hair up, but with a very effortless vibe, so this tastefully twisted bun hit the spot perfectly!

hair bun inspiration

two braids

The next day, I was wearing a hat with my outfit, so TRESemmé and I decided to get creative! Instead of just wearing my typical beach waves, we decided to make two small braids with a knot in the middle so that it could peak under the hat. It’s funny how something so simply can make a world of a difference!

dutch braids and mara hoffman levis jacket

Let me start off my saying how much I LOVE dutch milk braids. It was almost a given that I was going to choose this hairstyle for NYFW. I decided to save this hair do for my Mara Hoffman vintage Levis jacket. To keep the boho vibes going, you know?

This side part low ponytail was inspired from a photo I had originally seen on Pinterest. I decided to make the look my own by adding a delicate fishtail braid on one side. Funny enough, as I got to the Rachel Zoe presentation, the models had fishtails in their hair as well. Meant to be!

Tienen tantas buenas ideas ahí, me fascina!!

Last but not least, my fishtail French braid hair do. I have to admit this look was my personal favorite! I received so many compliments on it as well. So chic, stylish, yet so romantic. It pairs well with any outfit, can’t wait to wear it again!

Well, there you have it! All my hair do’s in one. I want to personally thank the TRESemmé team for being so talented and helping my hair look fabulous every morning. It’s incredible how much your hair style can change your whole look and make it better. New York Fashion week can be tough, but having a great team like TRESemmé to rely on is golden!

Now, before you go, please do tell, which one was your favorite!

Good morning everyone! It feels so nice to be back in San Diego, especially after NYFW madness. Feeling so grateful to be wearing only one layer of clothing. Today I want to talk about sleeveless vests. They are a MUST in your closet. I only have a two or three but I am highly considering getting more because they are lifesavers!

During NYFW, I got a lot of comments on my social media regarding how you guys love when I layer my outfits. Sleeveless trenches are the key to success. Just add it on to any outfit and the layers begin. Plus, it adds that perfect extra touch to any outfit! Go ahead, and try it out!

Happy Friday everyone! I am finally back home after a week of crazy weather, nonstop meetings and so many beautiful shows! I can’t wait to show you all the pictures. In the meantime, I can finally announce a special collaboration that I did with Shopstyle and Neiman Marcus, while in NYFW! For my outfit, I went for a this dress from Self Portrait. As I mention in the video below, I am quite obsessed with this designer at the moment. I usually buy Self Portrait at Neiman Marcus, because they have a great variety of the brand in their stores. I paired it with this fur vest, since I was in single digit weather. It’s a great way to combine spring collection with fall/winter. Also, while shooting around the Shopstyle Social House, I wore a navy blazer from Veronica Beard. How cute is this pink couch and decor? I had the best time!! Don’t forget to see the video below for a closer look of my outfit!

Good morning from sunny Cabo San Lucas! haha JK! I am actually on the other side in almost single digit weather, but scrolling through this travel story is making me warm.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, unless of course you have perfect skin all year round!

Winter months are treacherous on my skin. I can never get enough moisture! My main problem is the feeling of chapped skin, which if I don’t treat it, it can lead to peeling and small rashes. I have been a HUGE fan of bareMinerals since forever, it was the first makeup I ever used, and I have continue to use it for the past 10 years. You can imagine my excitement when they announced their newest skincare products! That being said, I have tried them all out and have listed below my two routines depending on the season.

My skincare regimen for winter goes as follows

Pure Plush: This product helps lift away makeup and impurities without stripping the skin. (Exactly what I need!)

Butter Drench: I love using this as a night cream. It gives me the perfect moisture I need after a long day and leaves my skin feeling super smooth.

Oil Obsessed: This is an alternative for Pure Plush. I use it every other day, it’s an ultra lightweight oil that glides onto the skin to remove impurities. Super light, great for sensitive skin and the lavender smell is so good!

My skincare regimen for summer goes as follow:

Clay Chameleon: This papaya extract and Brazilian red clay is great for detoxifying the skin, after those hot summer days.

Bare Haven: Great moisture, and the consistency is still soft and light, so it can be worn in the mornings.

Oil Obsessed: This is an alternative to the Clay Chameleon. I have sensitive skin, so I have noticed that my skin reacts better when I don’t use the same cleanser everyday.

The product I recommend everyone to try out is the Skinlongevity – Vital Power Infusion. It makes your skin GLOW and it’s clinically proven to improve your overall skin appearance. It’s the second part of the process. It should be applied after cleansing and before moisturizing to reach it’s full purpose.

Make sure to check out all their new products. Remember this regimen is what fits best for my skin and lifestyle, but lucky for you, they have products for all skin care products, so you can create your own. Click here to browse Bare Minerals newest skincare products.

Thank you to Bare Escentuals for sponsoring this post.

Whether your status on Facebook says “in a relationship,” “it’s complicated,” “friend-zoned,” “single,” or even “forever alone” there is no reason why you shouldn’t feel special and sexy this Valentine’s Day. Or any other day for that matter!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. How great was that Superbowl halftime show? I am obsessed with Coldplay, I went to their concert four years ago, and it still is one of the best concerts I have ever been too! (more…)

Happy Wednesday! The NYFW madness has definitely started and my mind is all clogged up with inspiration, appointments, and to-do lists. Apart from desperately needing an intern haha, and a glass of cabernet for that matter! I am really looking forward to attending this season and partnering up with TRESemmé team once more.  I have a bucket full of surprises for you next week, but until then these have been my outfits lately. Very minimal, yet polished for those daily (endless) meetings. Three days down, two to go, guys! We can do this, I can already smell Friday across the corner. xx, p.

Sometimes it can be difficult to keep up with all the latest fashion trends, and most importantly, it can get expensive! Well, I’ve got exciting news to share with all you fashion lovers. If you haven’t already heard, the founders of Who What Wear (one of the biggest fashion sites you must check out if you haven’t already) are launching their own amazing collection!

The Who What Wear collection will be exclusively available at over 800 Target stores starting January 31st. The collection is street style inspired and will also feature classic and on-trend pieces. Oh, and did I mention that all pieces will retail for under $50?! Consider this your go-to collection for affordable style!

I love that they offer trendy statement pieces for an extremely affordable price. I am currently obsessed with this black cape. It is the easiest thing to throw on to add an elegant touch or to dress up a casual outfit. I have rocked this cape for business meetings and even long airport flights.

All I know is I will be spending a lot more time at Target! They really do have everything there don’t they?! I always go for one thing I need and come out with 7 bags. But that’s another story.

Happy Wednesday everyone! I recently saw a photo on pinterest of someone wearing a neutral sweater dress that tied around the waist.  You have probably seen this type of dress before, I have been wanting to add one to my wardrobe but I haven’t found one so in the meantime I decided to recreate that look a slightly different way. All you need is two sweaters of the same color tone. Match it with a nice skater or high-waisted skirt and then simply add your shoes and accessories of the same color tone. I love how this outfit looks so sophisticated even with the sweater tied around the waist. So what to do you say? Give yourself a chance to recreate this look!

When it’s meant to be, it will happen? Right? I am a fond believer of that saying, and it applies to so many aspects in life. Let me tell you the story about these shoes. These knot detailed mules are Proenza Schouler and retail for about $795.00.

***Disclosure: Being the “sale” savvy girl that I am, it’s really hard for me to buy full price items. I’ve gotten better with time (ahem my designer bags), but I mainly blame my bargaining ways,  on my high school years, way before I was in the fashion industry. I always liked to dress well and in well I mean the high-end designer type of well. I was always on the lookout for the latest trends and let’s face it my minimum wage job at the time just wasn’t cutting it. So that’s why I became such a great sale finder. ***

With that said, when I first saw these shoes, it was love at first sight. I saw them in a Vogue magazine and from that moment I knew they had to be mine. When I found them online and saw the price, I automatically said, “hopefully they go on sale later“, and that was that. Weeks went by and with all the holiday rush, my so called, love, at first sight, started diminishing to the point that I had forgotten all about them. It wasn’t until a couple days after Christmas, I was going through the Barneys warehouse sale where I came across my loves!! Waiting for me, and only me, because there was only one size left (which was mine), and at 60% off! It was at that moment, that I knew they were meant to be mine.

Hope you all have a great Monday and a great start of the week! As always thanks for stopping by, and for all your comments, you guys are seriously the best!! xx

It’s Friyaay, and I in back in “chilly” San Diego! Weather has everything to do with our outfits right? So lately I have found myself wearing a lot of beanies, not necessarily because it’s freezing (because it’s not), but because it’s been gloomy and rainy. On gray days, I always opt for something cozy and I don’t mean a sweatshirt and uggs. I mean an oversized sweater, or jeans and with booties and a cozy cashmere sweater. Today I decided to pair up a soft velvet tank with my oversized Bobeau cardigan. Both pieces are so soft and surprisingly warm. To make it look a bit more dressed up, I wore my IRO boots.

Before I go, I want to encourage all of you to explore your closet possibilities. Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean you can’t wear a cami, or a lace summer skirt, it all has to do with how you pair them. For example, a couple weeks ago I posted a lace summer skirt with a cape and it ended up being one of my most liked outfits on instagram. Check it out here.

Hope you all have a great weekend and as always thanks for stopping by.

Stripes, stripes, stripes! Who loves them, who hates them? If you follow along on Instagram you know I wear stripes day and night. So much, that when I go shopping with my friends, and they see a striped shirt, they will pull it out, show it to me and say, this is so you! Haha. I usually go with basic color stripes but when I came across this fun multi-color shirtdress, I knew it had to be mine. I love how color is coming back (… and strong!) nowadays. The shirtdress has a small hint of pink, so I decided to wear my pink duster to make it stand out more.

Hope you all have a great hump day! I woke up today in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, M E X I C O. I love everything about Mexico, and even though this trip is short, I am so happy to be here. Make sure to follow along on Instagram @blank_itinerary and snapchat @blankitinerary

The year has officially started, the vacation jetlag is long gone and everyone is back in the rat race. Busy days do better with multiple coffee’s to go and easy outfits that can get us through our hectic day. A few weeks ago, someone asked me if I could do an affordable outfit post, and so here it is. Both the blouse ($20.00) and skirt ($25.00) are from Zara. You guys already know how much I love neutrals, so it comes to no surprise that I combined these two hues. I went with a gray fedora and boots and last but not least used a green silky scarf to tie in all the colors. Never sell accessories too short, they always go a long way when it comes to making or breaking an outfit.

What other posts would you like me to do? I seriously read ALL your comments, and emails, so please do tell, I am all ears.

Top of the morning to you! It’s Monday, officially the start off of a brand new week. I am in LA this morning, have some last minute meetings before jetting off to Cabo San Lucas tomorrow. Even though it’s a short trip, I am excited to enjoy the beach and get my vitamin D soon. But more on that later, for now, let’s chat about this outfit.

My inspiration behind this look came from the 60’s era. I purchased this ZARA top for $20.00 bucks last week, and since then I have already worn it twice. On the other hand, I received these denim overalls (amazing fit btw) a couple months ago and I had never really gotten around to them, they were literally just waiting patiently in my closet until I remembered I had them. For me, overalls are a love vs. hate thing, I love how they look on other people, but I didn’t feel quite like myself when wearing them, so the other day when I decided to give them another chance, I decided to jump into it slowly. I wore this blouse so that the silk tie at the collar would somewhat cause a distraction from the overall bib. I then added a neutral sleeveless vest to keep the “layering” style going strong. Overall, now that I see the photos, I really do love the look and am willing to give overalls another chance. I guess it’s how you style things that make it your style. Right? Or what do you say? Yay or nay to overalls?

It’s Friyaaay! If you saw my snapchat yesterday (@blankitinerary) I mentioned how slow this week went by for me. It’s weird nothing unusual happened it was just slow. Anyways, this outfit has the weekend written all over it. I love how sexy these boots are, super simple but chic with the high ankle coverage. I would wear this out to dinner at that “new restaurant in town” type of thing. I tied a cashmere sweater around my waist to make it a bit more casual and add a nother neutral tone to the equation.

I will be spending my weekend in San Diego, trying to get back into my workout routine, especially since February is super busy with trips. What do you guys do to work out? Yoga? Pilates? Cardio? HELP!
